Part One – Start Simple
A busy day at the office; a hectic day with the kids; you want some quality intimate time with your partner, but by now the drill is this – start with some kissing, touching and some light dirty talk, the “deed”, and so your sex life is a little blah and you’d like to try something new. You’ve wondered about something more exciting, but you’re not quite ready for daytime sex-in-the-park or inviting the hot FedEx driver into your perfect relationship. Being “restrained” by your significant other has some appeal for you, but maybe you’ve tried handcuffs as a teenager and it just didn’t quite satisfy. Being bound is an experience that can be very sensual and exciting and have you coming back for more.
Without the benefit of having your hands, or legs, free, you can start to experience some purely pleasurable sensations. You will have to use other body language, or words, to convey how you are feeling, particularly if you are enjoying yourself and this can be very sexy. Having your partner bring you to the edge of orgasm and then withdrawing at the last second can be mindblowing.
Since you’re a first-timer, keep it simple and fun to start. Look for things in your home that may work to restrain you without too much discomfort like a silk scarf or pantyhose. Just don’t get too creative with the knots because they can be impossible to untie as your six year old comes knocking on the door! A pair of police-issue handcuffs may be okay for those that don’t mind the feel of hard steel digging into flesh, but if you are purely interested in the feeling of being restrained and are not keen on the pain side of it, then there are plenty of novelty cuffs out there (eg. fuzzy cuffs), or soft cuffs designed specifically for bondage with velcro closures and connector clips. They are also easy to remove without having to fumble for a key.
Whatever you choose, sit back and enjoy the experience of being restrained. Initially, you can experiment with different gentle sensations, such as tickling or smelling and tasting foods, with or without a blindfold. Experiment with a variety of things and remember to be open and verbal with your partner. And don’t forget, you’re not the only one who can get tied up!
